Event and Entertainment Venues
Construction counsel for a multinational entertainment company in the development of new venues and renovations of existing venues throughout the country. Advising on project delivery structuring, negotiation of project agreements, and counseling during project administration and closeout. Developed a suite of construction, design, and related agreement templates for the development team.
Hospital and Medical Complexes
Project counsel for world-renowned Cleveland-based hospital on major complex projects, including new hospital construction, a state-of-the-art neurological institute, an integrated eye center with new buildings and expansion of existing facilities, and a significant expansion of research facilities near the main campus. Counseled on the development of an IPD project delivery system for major projects. Developed standard forms and negotiated project agreements for various capital improvements.
Manufacturing and Chemical Facilities
Construction counsel on several high-profile, complex projects for a global specialty chemicals manufacturer, including a $100 million multi-phase, multi-component capital improvement project in Texas involving the engineering, procurement, and construction of major equipment and facilities, including a multi-purpose reactor, isotainer facilities, tank farm, blending facilities, drumming, and other infrastructure improvements.
Historical and Cultural Institutions
Project construction counsel for the historic renovation of the main branch of a public library in West Virginia, estimated at $27 million.
Representation of a development manager in the $100 million renovation of a historic performance hall in Cincinnati, Ohio, including drafting and negotiating design, construction management at-risk, and development agreements, as well as counseling on insurance and risk management issues.
